Coordination Experiment

This is a proposal for a radical coordination experiment, which tests the properties of self organizing collective consciousness. The coordination experiment is an empirical test of the mathematical structure of consciousness. Consciousness has a social mathematical structure that is composed of complexes of category relations. These complexes represent fundamental energies of existence. These fundamental energies have a structure that is stable, but not altogether fixed.

The perception of external space is composed of complexes of associations of meaning, which can be decoded as a sequence of categories. The sequence of categories “aggregates” or “compresses” the entire biofield of conscious awareness into a discrete series of mathematical units. These units interact to both structure the wider field of consciousness and then reflect back on it to change it.

Ultimately the subjective perception of space is only superficially localized. The subjective perception of space is constantly receiving information retrocausally from the future, which makes it non-local in its absolute structure. Thus the categories that signify the structure of consciousness have a non-local interdependent meaning. They are affecting the collective social biofield of interrelated experiences, and also structuring that field into a single series of relations.

And so the coordination game between two people tends to converge towards a socially coherent meaning structure, in which both experiences become resonantly structured. They become harmonically aware of each other’s history and timeline and trajectory. They become “attuned” to one another. From knowing nothing about one another’s history and trajectory, they come to share in a social consciousness which structures the larger social organism in the creative “structure-process” that is concurrent with the original ontological state.

A coordination game is a game in which neither person knows what the other person knows, they only know that they are trying to converge to the same goal. They may not even know what the goal is. So a coordination game deals with radically disparate subjectivities seeking to converge to one unified experience. This unified experience is the wholistic interdependent social organism, which is one interlinked perceptual apparatus. It is the subjective experience as immediately radiating out and affecting every possible motion in a graduated harmonic interconnection.

The coordination experiment starts of as a writer and reader and attempts to constitute a self organizing language game. Essentially, the goal of the coordination game is to localize the original “structure-process” of existence. It is hypothesized that there is an original state of existence which is neither static nor dynamic. This state requires an original mathematics of consciousness that is very different from formal, symbolic mathematics of the academy. It is just as rigorous and just as fruitful, but it starts from a different orientation.

From algorithmic information theory, we know that compression is fundamental to existence. The relation between internal and external can be described as a compression relationship. Science is trying to compress the external environment into a canon of simple laws that describe all phenomena. The simpler and more concise those laws, and the more phenomena they describe, the better.

The social process can be described as a continual convergence to more and more concise structures of being. The social organism innately tends to converge to the most concise summary of its total, aggregate activity, which then radiates back outward to affect that social structure again.

The laws of physics as they exist now are only superficially concise. Physicists brag that they can fit the laws of physics on a t-shirt. But this is not real simplicity or real concision, because it takes years of training and knowledge to come anywhere near comprehending those mathematical equations. The study of advanced mathematics is a proposition of diminishing returns for society. It takes years of study and extreme genius to make even the smallest headway on the hardest problems of physics and mathematics. These approaches will not offer real solutions to the evident problems that we face as a society. We need a new approach to mathematics.

The problems and dead ends of physics have to do with the way the problem is being approached. The true physics of the world, the final unified field theory, will be a theory of direct, empirical, common-sense experience of the world. This is why the prototype of the unified field is the New Testament, not string theory. The true physics of the world has to do with the reciprocal relation between consciousness and matter. It has to do with how we interpret matter in terms of a semantic, hermeneutic field, and how that field reacts back on matter to transform the world. And all of this depends on the link between psychology and sociology, between the individual and the collective.

The individual is related to the collective in a physical biofield of subtle electromagnetic energy. This field is reflected or compressed in the categories. The language that one chooses to use is a code for the social field. Language is a higher, self organizing social organism that inevitably converges to the state in which the most “meaning” is compressed concisely into the smallest sequence of categories.

The way that different individual fields integrate into the collective consciousness is a mathematical structure-process. But it is a very different form of mathematics than contemporary formal mathematics. It is a structure-process which involves the compression of the whole infinity of existence into a series of discrete categorical units that interact in a single coordination game. The direct, empirical experience is essentially a mapping of the aggregate infinite. It is a compressed form of the aggregate infinite. And experience of time is a navigation of this aggregate infinite.

The individual person must aspire to embody the stellar energy of the whole infinity of existence into a single structure-process. This requires a radical acceptance of the original situation of being. It is a situation of nothingness and affirmation. It is nihilation and spontaneous growth. There is a radical simultaneity of all events in the one analogical structure-process. This simultaneity is best conceived as a qualitative theme of memory which underlies and structures all discrete, mathematical qualities.
